Board of Director Candidate Profiles
The following candidates are seeking a seat on CHACO Credit Unions Board of Directors

David Baker is seeking his first term with the CHACO Board of Directors and has been a member for more than 35 years. He is the owner of Hamilton Rental Center. Having been self-employed for more than 18 years, he understands tough economical times, when to tighten the belt and when to spend, marketing, and most importantly customer service. He says, Customer service is number one with me. Without customers there is no success! He breaks down the credit union philosophy of People Helping People, to people understanding people. After watching my wife, a former CHACO team player, I feel I have learned a lot about how she interacted with members and the relationship she built with them. This is the way I run my business. When you gain the trust of your member or customer you have gained everything. You are People Helping People!

Denise J. Herrmann has been a Board Member since her appointment in 2000 and a member for more than 30 years. Ms. Herrmann has a background in accounting, audit, IT and management consulting. She previously dedicated 18 years to Champion International and has worked for several other companies in various capacities. All of my career positions have enabled me to become competent in interacting with all levels of staff and management and I have become highly proficient in problemsolving techniques. Most of her financial work has involved safeguarding the assets of the company and developing related internal controls. Ms. Herrmann has been a volunteer for CHACO for more than 20 years, currently serving on the Governance Committee and has previously served as Treasurer, and Audit Committee Chairman. I believe credit unions have a competitive advantage due to our not-for profit status and service differential to our members. I feel as a Director, I can continue to offer my financial, leadership background to my fellow members to ensure that CHACO continues to focus on what we can do to assist each other.

James W. Lynch is serving his second term as a Board Member on the Audit Committee and has been a member for 15 years. Born and raised in Hamilton Ohio, he attended Hamilton public schools until 1965 when he joined the Marine Corps. After serving in Vietnam he returned to Hamilton and worked at Champion Papers. Mr. Lynch rejoined the Marines
in 1977, and retired in 1994. From 1994 through 2007, Mr. Lynch was on the Board of Trustees for the Evergreen Masonic and was able to work with others to bring the association from mortgage free to a plus 2.5 million dollar account. He was a member of the Grand Terrace Chamber of Commerce in 2003 through 2006 and served on the Executive Board as Parliamentarian. Mr. Lynch says he would like to continue to serve as a Board Member, to assist the credit union in becoming a better organization and becoming profitable in a depressed economy.

Douglas E. Smith is seeking his first term with the CHACO Board of Directors and has been a member for 15 years. Mr. Smith is an American Family Insurance Agent. He has been in the insurance and finance industry for more than 10 years. He says. My degree in education helps to solidify my ability to communicate with people from all walks of life. He would like
to serve on the board to help his community and share some of his
expertise in accounting/finance, sales/business and marketing/advertising. He also says, I think CHACO should look at social media sites, I believe it would be a learning experience.

Lanny R. Tucker is seeking his first term with the CHACO Board of Directors and has been a member for more than six years. He is a retired Flight Engineer from the United States Air Force. He has been affiliated with credit unions across the U.S. for 51 years. Hes willing to work in any area
to help benefit the credit union.

Lisa Marie Watkins is seeking her first term with the CHACO Board of Directors and has been a member for four years. Her work experience includes therapist, counselor (mental health/drug & alcohol), case manager, and social worker. I feel that the credit union should provide financial assistance to human beings of all socioeconomic backgrounds. She feels her experience in law, sales/business, and marketing/advertising can benefit the credit union.
